The Omni Homestead in Lake Norman Magazine
Don’t be surprised if you bump into a few Lake Normanites at The Omni Homestead Resort. As a result of our hosting writer Alison Miller on an early summer press trip, the resort got the full-feature treatment online and in the August issue of Lake Norman Magazine. Chock full of images, “Time Travel” positions the resort as the perfect getaway for Lake Norman residents given its proximity to Hot Springs, Virginia, and beautifully portrays the resort’s grand history, activities, dining venues and 250th anniversary celebration. Miller even called out two longtime associates: cashier Virginia Strasser, for whom the lobby bar has named a drink, and “stoic” maître’d Woody Pettus. Part of The Charlotte Observer, Lake Norman Magazine is distributed to 40,000 readers in its affluent suburban surroundings and sees 1,000 online visitors a month.
Dream Downtown on InStyle Online
Dream Downtown is always ready for it’s close-up. The hotel was recently highlighted by Hana Hong in “Up Your Selfie Game with These Instagram-Worthy Hotel Experiences” on InStyle online. Posted August 9, the write up headlines Dream Downtown as “Most Instagrammable Hotel in NYC” and suggests the beer can wall in the lobby, skyline views at PHD Rooftop, art installations in the Swing Room, and mirrored elevators as backdrops for “the most fantastical selfies of all time.” Wow! The coverage resulted from HIPR’s “In & Out” trend-spotting pitch, which played up Dream Downtown’s popularity on Instagram and positioned the 10 best photo spots on property. With a VPM of 2,238,286, InStyle is worth an image all its own.
Dream Downtown on The Financial Times Online
If the sneaker fits… As a result of an interview we arranged for writer Grace Cook with Ro Anand, Global Director of Brand Activation and Partnerships for Dream Hotels, Dream Downtown and its sneaker concierge concept were featured in “Groom Service: Hotels with Stylish Extras” on The Financial Times online. The article, posted August 5th, details the hotel’s program and plans to expand in-room shopping. The trend report placed Dream Downtown in good company alongside W Hotel Leicester Square, James Hotel in Tribeca, and The Berkley in London. The Financial Times has a VPM of 3,479,565.
