Hôtel Plaza Athénée on Architectural Digest Online

Talk about suite coverage. Thanks to our outreach with writer Laura Itzkowitz, including images and information, Hôtel Plaza Athénée was the focus of a pretty little feature on Architectural Digest online. Posted March 21, “The Most Requested Suites at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris” gets right to the point, positioning the historic hotel as the most luxurious destination in Paris, with details of opulent design, exceptional service, great restaurants and recent renovations. The piece highlights Eiffel Suites 361 and 878 as the most requested, with imagery and the come-hither subhead: “It probably comes as no surprise that the most popular rooms have excellent views of the Eiffel Tower.” Not to us! Architectural Digest needs no introduction as a big media score, though we’d love to meet each of the 1,091,480 unique visitors who check out its website every month.

TravelInsurance.com on SKIFT

There is plenty for travelers to think about in the wake of the recent terrorist attacks in Brussels. Insurance coverage is one of them, and thanks to our recent pitching efforts, TravelInsurance.com was featured in “5 New Travel Startups Helping Ease Travelers’ Fears About Taking Trips” on SKIFT. The piece, written by Dan Peltier and posted March 28, shared SKIFT’s “take” on TravelInsurance.com, noting how the website helps travelers compare different travel insurance plans. With a VPM of 400,902, SKIFT has been on our list for TravelInsurance.com, so we’re thrilled with its inclusion.

JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa on Travel + Leisure Online

Ready for your close up? JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa certainly was when Travel + Leisure online included the property in a recently broadcast article, “VIDEO: Five Things to Do in Venice.” The write-up accompanying the video feature, bylined “Travel + Leisure Staff,” highlights must-do and must-see things for travelers in Venice and suggests the JW Marriott as a great place to stay to take in the Venetian Lagoon. Best of all, the resort is the only hotel mentioned in the story. Travel + Leisure online has a big readership with 9,319,912 visitors per month.

Hotel Granduca Houston on Chron.com

Traditional afternoon tea is alive and well is the Lone Star State. Hotel Granduca Houston was featured “Houston’s Best Afternoon Tea,” a roundup of the city’s dandiest afternoon tea options on Chron.com, the website of the Houston Chronicle. The piece, written by Greg Morago and posted March 24, featured four photos of the hotel in a slideshow, and mentioned offerings from the tea experience at Ristorante Cavour. There was also a direct link to the hotel’s website. Chron.com is a great outlet with 11,429,530 visitors per month.

Dream Downtown in The New York Times

There are so many places to spend big bucks in New York City, but none other quite like the GuestHouse at Dream Downtown. Thanks to our relationship with the outlet, the hotel’s 2,500-square-foot deluxe penthouse was featured in “Are Luxury Suites Worth the Splurge? Hotels are Banking On It,” by Stephanie Rosenbloom, who noted details including fireplace, outdoor shower, glass-bottom Jacuzzi, and the services of a “vibes curator” to help create a party playlist or put together hors d’oeuvres. The article spanned two pages in The New York Times Sunday Travel Section on March 27 and was posted online on March 25. The “Grey Lady’s” weekend circulation is 2,579,166, while its online presence attracts 96,473,879 viewers per month.
