John Hall’s Alaska in Travel Agent Magazine
Connecting with family travelers is key for any tour operator, as is getting on the tips of travel agents’ tongues. John Hall’s Alaska had golden opportunity for both with inclusion in “Summer Travel Tips: National Parks Are A Natural Fit For Families,” the cover story of the March 21 edition of Travel Agent magazine. Thanks to pitching efforts, JH’A appeared in the article under “Exploring Alaska’s National Parks,” focused on special itineraries from tour operators and cruise lines marking this year’s centennial of the National Park Service. JHA’s National Parks of Alaska tour was highlighted under “By Land and By Air,” with a listing of the six parks travelers will experience on the one-of-a-kind tour. The feature also shone light on the great fit JHA’s Grand Slam Alaska tour makes for families traveling with older kids. Travel Agent is the premier national magazine of the travel industry, reaching 50,000 active travel professionals who turn to it for coverage of the most dynamic offerings and drive domestic and international travel trends.

Wilderness Safaris on The New York Times Online
This one just makes us hungry for more. Following our ongoing communication with writer Shivani Vora, the far-flung chef and artist residency programs at Wilderness Collection’s Segera Retreat in the heart of Laikipia Plateau in Kenya were included in “Resort News: Luxury at Disney World; Flowers in Tuscany,” on The New York Times online. The round-up article, posted in the In Transit travel section on March 23, detailed the residency programs under “In Kenya, Starring Roles for a Chef and an Artist,” and noted that Sascha Kemmerer of Michelin-starred Kilian Stuba in Austria and South African contemporary artist Michele Mathison are the lucky participants. The Tryall Club on TakingTheKids.com
With its range of villa accommodations and pretty coastal setting, The Tryall Club in Jamaica is a great destination for multi-generational travel. Columnist Eileen Ogintz, a national expert on family travel, seems to agree, having recently included The Tryall in “Vacationing Like a 1 Percenter in a Staffed Villa,” a destination round up on her website, TakingTheKids.com. The feature-length piece, which resulted from the Ogintz’s trip with the island nation’s Tourism Board, pored over the benefits of renting a villa, highlighting the range of options and value added by staff. The Tryall Club was noted as one of several options for a villa vacation in the Montego Bay area, with the property specifically called out for its golf course and kids’ club. Ognitz’s work has been published in several leading national newspapers, and her website, syndicated by the Tribune Content Agency, draws 9,055 viewers a month.
